The Vice Chairman for Planning, Transport and Regeneration has called for urgent action following this weeks (4th June) road traffic accident in Tank Hill Road, Purfleet.
Thurrock Independents Cllr Peter Smith said: “I was saddened to hear of a road traffic accident at the well known ‘near-miss’ hotspot on the brow of a hill outside a school, anti-social parking isn’t helping matters. The combination of these should have rung alarm bells in council years ago. Requests for Double Yellow lines have so far gone unanswered by Thurrock Council.
“Today I have written to Council calling for urgent action and consider further traffic calming measures and the installation of Bell Bollards as physical deterrents adjacent the school.”
